What is the minimum roof pitch for V-Line single-skin roofing?

The minimum roof pitch is 2° as standard. A 1° pitch may be used for sheet lengths up to 3.6m. Refer to the Engineering & Construction Manual for more information.

What purlin or beam spacing is required for V-Line single-skin roofing?

V-Line single-skin sheets use an interlocking male/female profile. A single lap is required, providing a secure, weather-resistant connection when installed correctly.

What fasteners are required and how are they spaced for V-Line single-skin roofing?

Fasteners depend on wind classification. N1–N4 (Non-cyclonic): o Metal: 12x40 Tek screws with neo washer (or Ripple Zip screws) o Timber: 12x25 T17 screws with neo washer C1–C3 (Cyclonic): o Metal: 12x30 Tek screws with neo washer + 25mm aluminium EPDM washers o Timber: T17 screws not suitable Fix at 1 screw per pan at each support. Can I install solar panels on V-Line single-skin roofing?

No. V-Line single-skin roofing is non-trafficable and not designed or engineered to support solar panel loads. Refer to the Engineering & Construction Manual for more information.

How is condensation managed in V-Line single-skin roofing?

Condensation can form on the underside of V-Line single-skin roofing in certain conditions but is typically minimal in open patio applications due to natural ventilation.

What maintenance is required for V-Line single-skin roofing?

Maintenance is minimal. Wash down with fresh water every 6 months (more often in coastal or industrial areas). Use mild detergent if required and avoid abrasive or harsh cleaning products.
